It would be a big improvement to add support for flac samples for SFZ files.  This is because flac is a lossless compressed format which is much more compact that wav or aiff.   In my anecdotal experience flac samples are from 20% to 50% the size of a wave file.  For large SFZ files, e.g. Salamander Grand Piano, at more that 1GB in size (with wave file samples), this size reduction could save a lot of disk space.   An added bonus is the fact that flac is an open source, patent-free format.  Thanks for the great work on linuxsampler.
